Access Statement for Nassington Nurseries and Leisure, No 1 and No 2 The Lily Pad, Northfield Lane, Nassington, Peterborough. PE8 6QJ

Introduction

No 1 and No 2 The Lily Pad are two bespoke, stone built, 3 bedroom cottages which can be booked together or separately. They each have one ground floor bedroom and bathroom so ideal for visitors who prefer not to use stairs. The ground floor is tiled and has underfloor heating so ideal for wheel chair uses.

There is an indoor pool for use by visitors.

There is a small private patio to rear of each cottage, access from french windows and a larger lawned area access by steps.

The living area, kitchen, dining and sitting area is all open plan in both cottages.

Andrew and Jane Codman live on site so are always available for guest requirements and their Housekeeper Donna Etherington lives less than 2 minutes away so is also convenient should guests need anything.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• There are directions and a map on our website and Jane will happly explain how to get here over the phone.
• The parking is directly in front of each cottage with room for two cars each. There is additional parking for more carson site.
• There is an outside light next to front door of each cottage, we do like to meet each guest at cottage on arrival with key and welcome tour of the cottage.
• There are no steps into the cottage or in the car parking area, the surfaces are block paved or grass reinforcement and are level.
• We can provide dog drinking bowls but owners should bring there own dog beds for their pets.
• There is a tree seat near to entrance to No 1 The Lily Pad.

Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
On entering the front door you go directly into open plan living area, the stairs to first floor are opposite front door and the ground floor bedroom is to the left of front door.

Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
• The stairs to first floor are carpeted and dogs are not permitted on the first floor. On the landing there is fire exstinguisher and two doors each leading to a bedroom.
• The open plan living area has leather sofa's, TV, DVD, coffee table display cupboads, a dining table (with oil cloth covering) and chairs and kitchen area. There are french doors from dining area leading onto a small patio which has steps leading up to a lawned garden with outdoor seating.
• The area is lit by ample downlighters controlled from two areas one near to front door and one in kitchen area. There are also lamps throughout if preferred. There is emergency lightng in the form of torches underneath sink. Candles must not be used at any time during a guests visit.

Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc

Public WCs
• There is W.C. in the bathroom on ground floor, additional W.C. is available to use in wet room in entrance lobby to indoor swimming pool. They are higher than normal W.C.'s.

Laundry

• There is access in indoor pool area to a laundry room and drying room, please ask Jane, Andrew or Donna for instructions on how to use.
• An ironing board and steam iron can be found in both cottages.

Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas


• The beds can be made up as twins or super king size doubles, please let us know before arrival how you wish the beds to be made up. The linen is 100% cotton and all have quilted pillow and mattress protectors. The towels are also 100% cotton. All bedding is washed in Non Biologal washing powder and on a sanitary setting n an industrial washing machine.
• The ground floor bedrooms have tiled floors with underfloor heating, controlled by an in room thermostat. The first floor bedrooms are carpeted and have thermostatic controlled radiators. All bedrooms have windows which may be opened for extra ventilation. The rooms either have curtains or roman blinds.

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]

The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a wet area for showering plus a bath at other side of the room, there is also a basin with mirror over and a W.C. an electric shave point and electric, hot air, wall mounted heater. The shower is electric. The floor is tiled and has underfloor heating which can be controlled by room thermostat. There is a window with glass which may be opened for extra ventilation. There is roman blind at this window.

Self-Catering Kitchen

The kitchens have stainless steel sinks, solid electric hobs and electric ovens. Fridge and freezer. Dishwasher. Kettle, toaster and microwave. There is ample crockery, cutlery, pots and pans in line with Visit Britain 4 star requirements. Should you require anything please ask and we will be happy to supply to make your vis a happy one.

Additional Information
• Please do take notice of our fire notices, the fire assembly point is the parking area to rear The Tadpole Cottage.
• The cottages are Non smoking and that includes bedrooms, guests may smoke in the garden area and ash trays are available on request, please do not drop nd discard cigarette buts anywhere on our premises.
• All dog owners must clear their gardens of any dog poo on leaving.
• Please try to keep noise to minimum from 10pm to 8am as there are neighbours.
• Please do give our home telephone number to family or friends who may need to contact you during our stay (01780 784394) as the mobile phone signal can be a little weak just inside the cottage and we are more than happy to pass on messages or let you use our telephone in an emergency.

Future Plans

We ave just started to build 5 moreself catering cottages, very similar in design but with en suites. We hope to have some coming on line during 2010. We also hoe to cause ,minmum disturbance during the building of these cottages.
